INTERESTING

I bought this book on ebay along with The Woods Are Dark. I tried reading the other first and was disappointed so i never attempted to read this one until much later. I was wrong about Richard Laymon. This book was actually pretty good. It was interesting and well executed. Unlike The Woods Are Dark, this one is not choppy and pointless. It is actually well written and interesting. There isnt much suspense, the only suspense is wondering whether or not the family will survive. It is one of his less vulgar novels, and i like this about the book.

Richard Laymon does it again!

I love Mr. Laymon's books. I just wish they were easier to find and more readily available. Once again he takes us on an adventure that we can't resist. What's so scary about going hiking and camping? The great outdoors, fresh air, fresh water, beautiful countryside and good company. No, nothing scary about that. Unless, of course, some weirdo attacks you and rapes you in the middle of the night and your campmate is forced to kill him. Unfortunately, it doesn't end there. The weirdo has an evil witch for a mother and she's not about to let you get away with killing her precious son. Anyone know how to remove a curse?

another great book

I am a big fan of this writer and have enjoyed everything he writes. This was another fun one. The woods are always a fun place for horror. Its so spooky at night.

TREAD SOFTLY with care.........

this book would make an excelent movie i always thought. it keeps you on the edge of your seat with gore and suspense you just cant stop reading it...like there is no good place to stop you always want to know what happens.Merel and Hettie! you will find a mother and son in your town and claim they are those two i tell you i did i feared these two for ages. I was 16 when my mom picked this book up at a yard sale and i have had it ever since and i am 30 now....oh yea BTW we dont camp anymore after this book....HONEST!

an exelent read for all Laymon fans and new readers.

Tread softly was an exelent book of blood ,adrenelin, fright and love. A great mixture from the greatest horror writter ever. Probably one of his most thrilling and most scary books ,with charactors that will make you laugh cry and screem.
