This book is the true, raw, factual story of my life experiences which formed me into the person I am today; the good, bad and ugly. Be aware that as you read this you will get into the author's head. No punches are pulled. Your story might be very different or maybe even similar. If you choose to read this you may feel compelled to think back on your own life with all its forks in the road; the good, bad and ugly. Writing this book was cathartic for me. Your reading it may be the same for you. I am a Baby Boomer born in 1946. My life as I know it started in 1950. This is the story of how I became who I am in a small town in northern Michigan. Growing up is not for sissys or snowflakes. This book will bring you back to that time. Buckle up Generation Xers (born 1965-85) followed us Boomers. You should read this book. You might gain some understanding of your parents and where they are coming from when they talk. You have a lot in common with us Boomers (like it or not) in that you came of age at the end of the analogue age. My sons are Xers. The rebellion factor is strong in this generation but you are now of an age where you might be able to think and read about how your parents came of age without judgement. Millennials (born 1985-2000) might think there is nothing here for them. Not true. The Chapters on Regret and Friendship are especially applicable. There are things I did during my journey that I sincerely regret to this day. Knowing what I did and why might help you avoid the ugly fork in the road called regret and might give you a clue as to how to be a better friend. Generation Zs (born 1985-2000) probably should avoid this book. You are just coming of age and are mostly convinced that older generations have little to offer in the way of guidance. It is your loss. This is the B&W version
