OUTPOURING OF FIRE
"He maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire." - Hebrews 1:7 (KJV)
WHAT IS THE FIRE BAPTISM?
The baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire is the supernatural endowment of divine power promised by Jesus
Christ to every believer. John the Baptist declared: "He shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire"
(Matthew 3:11). This is not water baptism. This is not church membership. This is heaven invading a human
vessel with the same fire that consumed Elijah's sacrifice on Mount Carmel, that descended upon the disciples
at Pentecost, and that has fuelled every genuine revival in the history of the church.
SCRIPTURAL FOUNDATION
"And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they
were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them
utterance."
- Acts 2:3-4 (KJV)
"But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses
unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the
earth."
- Acts 1:8 (KJV)
"I am come to send fire on the earth; and what will I, if it be already kindled?"
- Luke 12:49 (KJV)
THE SEVENFOLD FIRE OF GOD
1. PURIFICATION - The refiner's fire removes every impurity. "He is like a refiner's fire" (Malachi 3:2).
2. EMPOWERMENT - Ordinary believers become extraordinary witnesses. Cowards become conquerors.
3. ILLUMINATION - The fire opens blind eyes and reveals the deep things of God.
4. PROTECTION - "I will be unto her a wall of fire round about" (Zechariah 2:5).
5. CONSUMPTION - "Our God is a consuming fire" (Hebrews 12:29). Every enemy is consumed.
6. PASSION - Hearts set ablaze with love for Jesus. Cold religion replaced with burning zeal.
7. REVIVAL - When the fire falls, revival begins. Nations are shaken. Millions are saved.
THE ELIJAH PATTERN
Elijah repaired the broken altar, laid the sacrifice, poured water upon it, and then prayed one prayer - and the
fire of the LORD fell and consumed everything. The prophets of Baal had cried from morning to evening with
no answer. But one prayer from a man who knew his God brought fire from heaven. "The LORD, He is the
God; the LORD, He is the God " (1 Kings 18:39).The pattern is the same today: Repair the altar (repentance), lay the sacrifice (surrender), pour the water
(faith beyond logic), and call for the fire (pray until it falls).
HOW TO RECEIVE THE FIRE
ASK - "How much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?"
