THIS BOOK IS ON FIRE. And if the fire in these pages does not burn you, then check your pulse
- because you may have grown so accustomed to the lukewarm bathwater of comfortable
Christianity that you have forgotten what the ACTUAL GOD of Scripture sounds like when He opens
His mouth and speaks in FLAME.
Let us be unmistakably clear from the first syllable: the God of the Bible is not a theological
concept to be debated in air-conditioned seminar rooms by scholars who have never sweated in the
presence of the Almighty. The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob - the God who appeared to Moses
in a BUSH THAT BURNED BUT WAS NOT CONSUMED - the God who descended upon Mount
Sinai in FIRE so hot that the mountain itself TREMBLED AND SMOKED LIKE A FURNACE -
the God who answered Elijah on Mount Carmel with fire that consumed not only the sacrifice but the
STONES, the SOIL, and twelve barrels of WATER - THAT GOD is the God of this book. And
THAT GOD is a CONSUMING FIRE.
'FOR OUR GOD IS A CONSUMING FIRE.' - Hebrews 12:29
The apologetic case for the theology of fire does not begin with human argumentation. It begins
where Elijah began - at the altar, soaked in water, surrounded by 850 false prophets, outnumbered,
outpoliticked, and outresourced by every metric of natural calculation. And Elijah did not argue.
Elijah did not debate. Elijah did not convene a panel discussion on the merits of monotheism versus
Baal worship. ELIJAH PRAYED. And FIRE FELL. And every question was answered in a single,
catastrophic, heaven-sent DETONATION of divine reality that left no room for theological
ambiguity.
THAT is the apologetic method of this book.
