And Fearfully Made.

Before the first angel flexed his wings. Before the first dawn cracked the first sky. Before the first word spoke the first world into being. She was in the mind of God.

The Glorious Church is older than Eden. She is older than Eden because she predates creation itself. Paul declares she was chosen in Him before the foundation of the world. The foundation of the world - which means before the plates of the earth were fitted to each other, before the oceans were given their beaches, before the sun was given its furnace - she was chosen.

What shall we do with a Church so ancient? We shall not reduce her. What shall we do with a Church so elect? We shall not demote her. What shall we do with a Church so glorious? We shall not profane her with small ideas, small budgets, small vision, small prayers.

This book is an altar call for the Church herself. It is a summons to rise from the dust of her diminishment. It is a trumpet blast over a valley of dry ecclesiastical bones. It is a prophetic decree that what God has promised, God is now performing.
