THE BEST FOR THE LAST

The tempting, tasty, and tried recipes from the French Kitchen Series are presented as appealingly as they are served with marvelously colorful illustrations by Nadine Wickenden. This tidy volume contains some 30 of the author's favorite dishes from the simple to the elegant. Although French desserts often tend to be fruit and cheese the author drapes these comestibles in such finery that they look and taste fit for a king and queen. The Poires Au vin (Pears in Red Wine) are easy to prepare and provide an impressive presentation. Tarte Au Cirton (Lemon Tart) is luscious.
