Born in 1964 in Cincinnati, Ohio, Karen Marie Moning graduated from Purdue University with a degree in society and law. She worked as a bartender, computer consultant, and insurance specialist before devoting herself to writing full-time. The bestselling author of fifteen novels, many of which have been bestsellers, Moning has recently completed a graphic novel. Her work has won a Romance Writers of America RITA Award for Best Paranormal Romance and been nominated for additional RITA awards. Moning lives in Cincinnati.
