When Gods Roar: "The Awakening"
Mia Chen, the head of the LISEA project, to find evidence of life beyond Earth, at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena, California, is informed that someone is waiting for her in the lobby. Upon meeting the man, she notices his towering stature, striking silver dreadlocks, deep dark skin, and intense gaze, which set him apart from everyone else. He introduces himself, expressing his eagerness to meet her, and when she asks why, he reveals that he has traveled from another planet seeking refuge on Earth, and believes that she is the perfect person to help him prove his existence. As this high-concept thriller unfolds, the visitor discloses the reasons for fleeing his home world and his urgent mission on Earth, all the while trying to evade detection by authorities, leading to chaotic and inevitable consequences as they hunt him down. "When Gods Roar" is not just a speculative fiction thriller; it explores the deeper aspects of human nature, addressing our tendency towards war and violence, and while the stranger promises to unveil truths about the Universe and Creation-he also insists on two pivotal conditions that could determine the fate of global peace or disastrous conflict.

This is a tale of an "alien" coming to earth, his first appearance, the stir it caused, the possibility of war with an alien culture far advanced beyond earth's paltry defenses. This story raises issue with the impact of religions on our planet, and its peoples. It raises issue with the concentration of wealth, power, and military power specifically, in the hands of a few sociopathic individuals. In all my 83 years I have never read any book, including the Christian and Judaic versions of the Bible, which offers so much depth in the guise of a novel. I never read Sci-Fi, so the story was a little outside of my element, but overall, it was an enjoyable story and a quick read."
