The One: Murder comes easy to some people

By Réal Laplaine

"The One" is the third installment in the Keeno Crime Thriller series. When a young woman's body is discovered in the Soo Locks, it's revealed that she is the niece of Canada's Prime Minister. Keeno McCole and Jake Williams, members of the RCMP's Anti-Terror unit, are sent to Winnipeg to probe a suspected cult, only to be thrust into a hostage crisis and an assault on the country's largest news network. What begins as a straightforward case quickly spirals into a deadly confrontation with a cunning sociopath, leaving Keeno and his team battling threats they never anticipated. A gripping thriller until the very last page.

Being a vivid fan of what Mr Laplaine, I can only say that he did it again. This time setting up claustrophobic environment where the outcome only can be one thing he holds you in his grip until the bitter end. Highly enjoyable & recommended Jonas O.
