The Rational Explanations

Every, and I mean EVERY, over tickled fan of the ANCIENT ALIENS series needs to read this book. Period. If the Y 2000 nothing happened was not enough to demonstrate that the occult and organized religions are one in essence then maybe this book will have more success. Get on the foil hats.

Yes! Great!

So interesting I forget am I reading science fiction or the real thing? Very very interesting. The stargate idea is not somesthing new but the way is presented here is innovative. Does it apply to modern science? The author is trying hard to convince you. Read the book. It is fascinating. Personally, I liked it.

I'm convinced

I'm convinced, but then I usually am! I read Graham Hancocks book Fingerprints of the Gods and was convinced as well! This book basically bashes Hanccock and similiar authors. Its always intresting to read another viewpoint. SOmething I enjoyed reading was the time Picket spent researching the people behind the ancient anscestors movement. There are thousands of books with this theme out there to choose from but I found this one to be especially intresting. It kind of goes against the grain. I had the updated version which explained why the world didn;t "end" at 2000 so that helped some of the natural sceptesicim that you may expirience! Would I recomend this book to my friends? Yes. It is entertaining and that is my main goal in reading any book.In addiiton you learn some intresting estoric history.

A Real Eye Opener!

This is an amazing book. As a person who is drawn to so-called New Age philosophy, I was amazed to see the connections and cross-connections between so many of the organizations/books/authors I have supported and admired. I was also distressed to learn that the intelligence community and many people/philosophies I don't admire--in fact, view as racist/elitist--are pulling strings behind-the-scenes and influencing world leaders like Al Gore and the United Nations!The book is extremely well researched and the authors go to great pains to be fair--still, their findings are very unsettling.

Not a single point is made within these pages that is not supported by a clearly specified and accessible reference. A well researched book does not need to make arguments and presumptions, Picknett and Prince merely draw the attention of the reader to a fascinating series of facts which allows any conclusions to be made independently and without emotive propaganda. Their approach as authors is down to earth and matter of fact, shedding scorn NOT on the great mysteries of life and the universe, but on the way in which they have been actively recruited, abusing the faith of well meaning people. A fascinating read, highly reccomended.
