My favorite Christmas story

Wish I knew about this book when my daughter was young.

The Christmas Candle encourages us to look beyond the surface.

This Christmas story is unfortunately set in the past when candles were used for illumination. Would that there were such candles today to help us to see the needs of others. Mr. Evans weaves a short but interesting tale of a traveler returning home on Christmas Eve and the people he meets. Jacob Collins' artwork adds to the charm of the story.

This is an excellent book. It has a wonderful message all of us, old and young alike, can use for our everyday lives. A great moral!! I recommend this for any age group.

I bought this book to read to my class as a Christmas story. This is an excellent book, but it is deep. It is a great story for upper elementary (4th or 5th grade) or even middle school. It would be an excellent book for upper elementary/middle school Sunday school class. Not to sound too much like a teacher-but it has a lot of symbolism. The pictures are extraordinary-the eyes of the people in the illustrations are penetrating and touch you down to the soul.

It is the best holiday book with true meaning I have read, that teaches children to look in their environment to find ways to be helpful, and the true meaning of the holidays, that we are all one large family of mankind. You will not be disappointed in purchasing this book. Beautiful illustrations and a moving story.

I love this book so much. It is truly a story for all ages, and it is deeply profound and moving. To me, it is the perfect book, with perfect illustrations!!!!!!

I really enjoyed reading this book. What a powerful message it gives to its readers. What a difference this world would be if we could all be more giving and compassionate to everyone we come in contact with. I would reccommend this book to anyone that has a heart.
