The Billionaire’e Bride

I been looking forward to reading this book. And I enjoy the story the characters are telling me too.

Ms. Braun weaves believable stories that touch the heart ....

The Billionaire's Bride by Jackie Braun Harlequin Romance # 3860 - September 2005 It's been a few years now since Marnie's husband died, and Marnie's parents are worried about her. So they insist that she and their four year old grandson make a visit from winter Michigan to warm Arizona. Marnie's reluctant to make the trip, but finally agrees. And when they arrive, she's happy to see how easily her son adjusts to the smothering from his grandparents so she takes a trip to Mexico for a few days. Marnie doesn't want a tourist place; she wants peace, to be alone. In renting a run down beach house, she soon finds herself alone and due to storms without power. She's surprised to find that her reclusive handsome neighbour is disturbed by her presence and seems to doubt her motives for being there. JT has built his company from scratch and with his huge success and growing billions, he's very sought after both by gold diggers and job seekers. He can't figure out what Marnie wants. She seems oblivious to who he is and believes the locals that he's a bounty hunter. Their attraction grows, and soon they are having a holiday fling. Only JT hasn't opened up to who he is yet, and Marnie hasn't told him that she's a mother of a four year old. When it's time to part, Marnie can't bear the long sad goodbye, so she leaves while JT's still sleeping. Though she's fallen in love with him, she knows that JT's lifestyle as a bounty hunter isn't right for her and her son. This is my second reading of this book. The above is my journal review from last year in August. After reading Ms. Braun's In The Shelter of His Arms, and meeting Mason and Rose, I wanted to read Mason's sister Marnie's story again. I enjoyed it just as much this time. Ms. Braun has a lovely voice and she weaves believabable stories that touch the heart

Who is JT?

Marnie La Rue was married with a new little baby named Noah. One day she is told by the police that her husband was dead. He had tried to save two people on a snowmobile that had gone down the hill and into Lake Superior in Michigan. Since that time three years have passed. Hard years of trying to work and care for Noah. When her parents call from Arizona she decides to go for a visit and warm weather. Her parents are willing to watch Noah so she can get a little time to relax and decide what she might do with her life. She wants to start her own business. When she arrives for two weeks with her parents she agrees to relax and decides to drive south. Ending up south of the border on Mexico's Baja Peninsula. Here she meets JT who is a neighbor next door. They become friends and spend much time together. Falling into love before either of them know it. JT finds out where she is from but doesn't really know about her son Noah. JT tells her his name but Marnie doesn't know who he really is or his position in life. Not until they depart for their seperate ways do she realize he is a Billionaire or does JT feel her lost and find out about Noah. He finds her and ask her to marry him. He is still interested in her business venture and will help her to achieve her goal. What luck to find a Billionaire! You never know.
