Best Book EVER!

I thought the book was really good. At the beginning I didn't really understand where I was, but as it went on I caught up. It was really exciting and suspenseful. When I finished I was amazed the author didnt' go on with it because I wanted more!

The best book from a 4th grader!!

I thought this book was amazing! You never know what will happen next. You just keep reading and reading! I am reading this book in school, and when I am supposed to be reading two chapter I end up reading 3 or 4. The begining goes a little slow with some old english. In The middle you just can't put the book down. Fourth Grade and older would be the only ones to aprrechiate the book. I am in 4th grade and love to read but I can only read great books. I am very picky. "Spies On The Devil's Belt" was great!

An Excellent Revolutionary War Story for Teens

This is a story about a boy who longs to be "free and independent...", and finds out what that truly means in the Continental Artillery. I've read it several times over the last 15 years. Contrary to some of the posted reviews, Jonathan is fourteen in the novel, not thirteen.

It is a great book!

In the 1700's Jonathon Barlowe is a thirteen-year-old boy with no family. He decides to join the Continental Army. At first, Jonathon thinks the captain is treating him as a baby, but when he finds out he is actually a spy, he runs into dangerous situations along the way. It is a really interesting and exciting, half of the time I was holding my breath!
