Miracle of Wild Oregano

Excellent book. Lots of health problems can be helped or cured by using wild oregano.

Very Informative

I had Dr. Ingram's previous book "The Cure Is In The Cupboard" and I liked it, but felt it didn't talk enough about specific scientific studies, and also thought it could've been laid out a bit better. Anyway, this book is an improvement, overall. It talks a lot more about the higher doses you might take for severe or stubborn infections. It talks about the different kinds of oregano oil preparations and what they are better for. It sites many more scientific studies, which is the big plus. There were two complaints I had, though. One, he talks WAY too much about God in this book, particularly in the chapter called "The Science" which is ironic. Other than saying something like "I guess God knew best when he put these healing herbs on our planet" God should have no place in a scientific discussion, because I feel it undermines the author's scientific validity. He really goes off at one point, near the end of the book, and it finally got to be too much for me. Secondly, he does tell you what to look for when researching which oregano oil to buy, but he really only says the "blue label brand" is a guaranteed quality. For some reason he doesn't mention the North American Herb and Spice Co. by name as he does in previous books. but that is the brand he refers to here. He also makes it sound like there are probably no other good quality brands out there, so I can't help but wonder if he has a vested interest in the company. Of course that doesn't mean that companies products aren't top notch, but I wish he would at least mention some other good brands. Because this is supposed to be an unbiased, scientific-based work, and because he seems very biased as far as his product recommendations, I'm going to take off a star. I felt he could've been more informative as far as listing brands.
