Well written.

Not a book your gonna fly through because you'll keep going back to chapters you've already read.. but definitely well written , informative and thought provoking, I'd originally gotten a lend of it and after I'd read it decided it would be beneficial to have a copy of my own for future reference.

A must read for every serious martial artist!

This book is wonderful! It not only describes what ki is but offers exercises that work on harnessing your ki. The reader learns about breathing and control of one's body. If you are a serious martial artist this is a must have book. I have practiced for 3 years and I wish I had read this book sooner. The information is this book is priceless in regular practice.

Koichi Tohei's Ki in Daily Life

Sometimes you drift through life, wondering how things can ever get better. As for myself, buying this book turned out to be one of the major turning points in my life. This book is a must read for anyone who wants proof of the power of positive thinking. Trust me, it does work! The best part of the book (my own opinion), is actually found at the end of the book, under the "Thirteen Rules for Disciplinants". Apply these rules to your daily life (not just in Akido) and you will realise that "not to contend with others brings absolute victory" which parallels Sun Tzu's thinking that "to win without fighting is best". If everyone on Earth had a copy of this book, there would be no more unnecessary wars being waged.Koichi Tohei Sensei deserves the Nobel Peace prize for having generosity of spirit in sharing his revolutionary ideas with the rest of humanity!

Great for daily life

I have studied martial arts for 3 decades. And I find this book very useful. My art is Matsubayashi Ryu. Ki applies to all of the arts and life in general. I have found that these excercises in this book to be a benefit to my health and my karate. This book is the best explanation of KI I have ever read.

A MUST READ!

I have been in the Martial Arts for ten years. In this time I have read many books about inner strength and KI. So far this one has topped them all. Koichi Tohei has written a masterpiece. "KI in Daily Life" has been the most accurate description so far of KI that I have read. It is ideal for the novice to advanced student. Tohei not only describes in detail mediataion, and excercises to build your inner power, but also pictures and demonstrations. In conclusion I recommend this book from the beginer to advance students in KI, and a must read for all Martial Artists.

ABSOLUTLY FANTASTIC!!!!!

I practice this form of ki with the Honolulu Ki Society and have been having problems developing my ki. I have read this book and within one week I feel a great difference in my life. my attitude is getting so much better and problems I was having with different people are now subsiding. I recommend this book to anyone who is interested in improving their life! I know from personal experience that ki is real and it does work.
