Halliday

By Des Dunn

In "Halliday", the debut of the legendary series by Des Dunn, writing as Adam Brady, drifting gunman Buck Halliday emerges from the heat-seared bottom country of Shimmer Creek, seeking nothing more than a reprieve from the desert sun. Instead, he rides straight into a web of betrayal and frontier justice.

Halliday is a man defined by his independence and his fast draw, but his resolve is tested when he encounters a community gripped by fear and a spirited woman named Beth who refuses to be ignored. Caught between his instinct to keep moving and a burgeoning sense of duty, Halliday must navigate a landscape of treeless plains and hidden dangers.

This classic Western captures the raw, romanticised spirit of the American frontier, where a "trail-weary" drifter must prove his worth against both nature and lawless men. It's a story of wandering, survival, and the high price of a promise.
