Day Of The Damned

By Des Dunn

In "Day of the Damned", legendary Western author Des Dunn, writing as Sheldon B. Cole, delivers a high-stakes survival thriller on the untamed frontier. Drifting gunman Blake Durant rides into the town of Maple only to find himself caught in a deadly crossfire and forced into a wagon train headed for a living hell.

Under the iron fist of the ruthless Torp Berry, Durant and a group of prisoners are enslaved at a remote ranch, forced to dig for a fortune in buried outlaw gold under a merciless sun. As starvation and brutal discipline push the men to their breaking point, Durant must unite a fractured group of rivals-including the volatile Danny Damiani and the broken Curly Bromage-to stage a desperate escape.

With the innocent May Soncum caught in the middle, Durant's grit is tested as he battles both sadistic guards and the internal treachery of men blinded by "gold fever".
