Book tells child obesity story like it is

Dr. Carolyn Ashworth tells the story of childhood obesity as it should be told; our kids are too fat and we, as parents, are the only ones who can do anything about it. But unlike everything else I've read on this subject, Defeating the Child Obesity Epidemic doesn't just wail and moan about the deadly effects of this problem. The author goes into great detail, telling parents how to get their kids to eat better, exercise more and get up off the couch. She reemphasizes the idea of individual responsibility and extends it to the concept of the entire family taking responsibility for itself and each other. Not all of her ideas will work in every family, but this is a good place for parents to start.

Finally, an epidemic we can prevent !

Dr. Caroline Ashworth tries to be kind to parents about this childhood obesity epidemic, but the truth is that we set the standard for our kids, no matter that we don`t like it sometimes.
