Every month, some of our favorite shows and movies leave streaming services. But that doesn't mean we can't enjoy them anymore. Here's a list of some of the standout films that will be leaving Netflix and Hulu in August. Get your own copy and keep watching them whenever you want.

  • Dawn of the Dead (2004)—Sarah Polley and Ving Rhames are among the few survivors of a zombie apocalypse.
  • Seuss' The Cat in the Hat (2003)—Mike Myers plays the mischievous titular cat in this live-action version.
  • Seuss' The Lorax (2012)—This brightly animated musical comedy is voiced by the likes of Danny DeVito, Ed Helms, Zac Efron, and Taylor Swift.
  • Flight (2012)—Hailed a hero after landing a badly damaged plane, a pilot (Denzel Washington) reckons with an investigation into his pre-flight partying.
  • Hotel Transylvania (2012)—Andy Samberg, Selena Gomez, Fran Drescher, and Steve Buscemi are just a few of the stars voicing this fun family film.
  • Julie & Julia (2009)—"Bon appétit!" Meryl Streep brilliantly embodies Julia Child in this film based, in part, on Julie Powell's bestselling memoir.
  • Nanny McPhee Returns (2010)—Emma Thompson reprises her role as a magical nanny modeled after the Nurse Matilda series by Christianna Brand.
  • Over the Hedge (2006)—Spring has sprung as the woodland creatures in this animated film awaken to the scourge of urban sprawl. Voicework by Bruce Willis, Garry Shandling, and Steve Carell.
  • Shark Tale (2004)—A brash, young fish gets into deep water after concocting a story about how he killed a shark.
  • Skyfall (2012)—Daniel Craig continues his four-film 007 run in the 23rd installment of the spy film franchise.
  • The Croods (2013)—Emma Stone, Nicolas Cage, and Ryan Reynolds lend star power to this animated film about a caveman family.
  • The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (2008)— Scott Fitzgerald's fantasy serves as the basis for this film, starring Brad Pitt, Cate Blanchett, and Taraji P. Henson, about a man who ages backward.
  • The In-Laws (2003)—This remake of a 1979 cult classic stars Albert Brooks and Michael Douglas as the two very different fathers of a young couple who are getting married.
  • The Pursuit of Happyness (2006)—Starring Will Smith, this film is based on Chris Gardner's moving rags-to-riches memoir about raising his son while homeless and pursuing a career in finance.
  • The Wedding Date (2005)—Single girl Kat (Debra Messing) hires a male escort (Dermot Mulroney) to pose as her boyfriend for an upcoming family wedding.
  • Traffic (2000)—This Oscar-winner depicts a collision of competing interests around the illegal drug trade. The ensemble cast includes Don Cheadle, Benicio del Toro, Michael Douglas, and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
  • Underworld (2003)—Selene (Kate Beckinsale) is a vampire at war with werewolves when she falls for human-turned-werewolf (Scott Speedman).
  • We're the Millers (2013)—Jason Sudeikis is a small-time pot dealer who hires a stripper (Jennifer Aniston) and a couple of teens to pose as his family on a run to Mexico to pick up his supplier's latest shipment.
  • Dope (2015)—A fresh, funny adventure about Malcolm, a Blerd (Black nerd) surviving life in a tough neighborhood.
  • Dunkirk (2017)—Before Oppenheimer, filmmaker Christopher Nolan drew raves for his Oscar-winning WWII epic.
  • Five Feet Apart (2019)—A pair of teenagers with cystic fibrosis meet in a hospital and fall in love.
  • Hardcore Henry (2015)—After being brought back from the dead, a man with amnesia must try to survive and save the world in this sci-fi thriller.
  • Spanglish (2004)—A heartwarming dramedy about an affluent couple (Adam Sandler and Téa Leoni) who hire a Mexican single-mother to be their live-in housekeeper.
