I've recently rediscovered E. V. Thompson and am enjoying reading his books again. This one is a rollicking historical fiction book featuring heroine Thomasina Varcoe, an unconventional Cornish girl. Her adventures take her in the company of a highwayman, on a sailing ship masquerading as a boy, shipwreck, and into some interesting relationships.
