The US Army's "FM 5-34, Engineer Field Reference" is a pocket sized reference for people who want to build sturdy, if somewhat rough buildings, earthworks and weather proof facilities or house. In print since 1943 this edition includes new technology and techniques with tried and true methods of building field fortifications, bridges or a house. There are a number of tables for things like roof angles, jib loads and rope. An excellent pocket reference for apprentice, journeyman or master tradesman or home builder. This is my fourth copy. My kids stole my others.
