Trust Me is the chilling standalone novel of psychological suspense and manipulation that award-winning author and renowned investigative reporter Hank Phillippi Ryan was born to write.
CAN YOU SPOT THE LIAR? An accused killer insists she's innocent of a heinous murder. A grieving journalist surfaces from the wreckage of her shattered life. Their unlikely alliance leads to a dangerous cat and mouse game...
Very disappointing after really enjoying several of the authors' other books. Too much repetition and jumping around. May have been part of the theme, but it was overdone. Would not recommend it.
Trust Me: Fell Short

After reading Murder List by HPR, I was sorely disappointed in Trust Me. The plot was too close to that of the real life case of Casey Anthony, and although the author addressed it, it still seemed like a bit of a rip-off. Beyond that the writing was hard to follow, which I suppose was the premise of the book, but it was taken a bit too far. Mercer, the main character, was made to be ridiculously gullible and spent a large portion of the book lamenting on her family's deaths. Overall the story was drawn out too far both in length and believability. Unfortunately would not recommend.
