Surprises galore!

9/6/26 - 9/11/26 Mother Daughter Sister Stranger by Hank Phillippi Ryan This was the Brenda Novak September’s Month of Book Club Group’s read. Another second in row hit out of the park choice. I have never read one of Ms. Ryan’s novels before, but this was definitely an excellent choice to pick after August’s read. I will be totally honest, I was second guessing the storyline along with the main character, Rliza. I did get the final part right, I have a sixth sense about Foster things that make loud noises’ because I so detest loud noises of any kind! But other parts, I was just as off base as Rliza was in my second guessing. It definitely had me on the edge of my seat a couple of different times. This is the kind of thriller I do so enjoy. When I get caught up with other reading challenges I have on my plate, I will definitely go and search out her other novels.

Is anything as it appears?

I received this book with no expectations of a positive review. Eliza and Piper were waiting for Bea's return. She had asked for Eliza to keep 11 year old Piper for a week so she could have some down time as she adjusted to her husband, Kyle's leaving and divorce. Bea did not return. Join Eliza and Piper as they try to find out what happened to Bea. As they try to untangle the mystery, they are met at every turn with more mysteries and possible danger. This book had me on the edge of my seat as I read this book. It is very enticing and engaging.
