Flavorful and Fresh Recipes

My husband and I enjoy cooking, and on the weekends we love to indulge in a little gourmet dining. We are used to eating very flavorful dishes. However, eating that way has caused us to start gaining weight. So I had read about this cookbook in our local paper and decided to try it. In the past, my attempt to use diet book recipes have been disappointing. However , the recipes I have tried so far have been excellent. They are easy to make and they use fresh ingredients, which I think is the secret to their taste. I am very happy with this book, and would not call it a diet cookbook because the recipes are so tasty.

I Highly Recommend this Recipe Book!!!

I needed a recipe book that included pictures of the meals since I'm a visual person. I had no idea what I was getting myself into when I choose this book... just for its pictures. After cooking 5 or so meals, I have no regrets. I've received great reviews and compliments for my cooking thanks to this recipe book. There are a number of meals to choose from for any craving or occasion. The meals are not only delicious, but the ingredients used are very healthy. I've just started cooking from this recipe book and already I've lost a couple of pounds. The author even recommends which wine would go best for the entrée. If you want to start eating good healthy food, this is the recipe book for you!

Fantastic Meals

My husband and I have been on the Sonoma Diet for about 3 months now and to date he has lost 15 lbs. And I have lost 32 lbs the recipies are delicious we hardly feel like we are dieting and I actually cook now where in the past "fast food" was the way to go. I suggest to anyone who has had problems in the past with weight management to try this plan although the original sonoma Diet book is great I tell people they must get this new Recipie Book because it gives you so many options to date I have gone from a 2x to a size 16, I have a way to go but I look and feel great, Thanks Sonoma, for changing my life.

Great food!

I've never bought and actually used a recipe book as much as I have this one. Initially I was skeptical whether the food would be any good. Then, when I got it I was angry that the recipes usually serve 4-6 people. But, ultimately it turns out that of the 10 or so recipes I tried, only one has been mediocre - the rest have been amazing. Further, by making 4-6 servings and spliting them up into freezable containers, it has made following the diet all that much more simple. I've bought the book for another friend to try it and recommend the diet and this book to nearly everyone these days.

Great Taste and Healthy Too!

As a long term Sonoma County resident I read The Sonoma Diet with interest when it came out last year. Based on a balanced combination of lean protein, low density carbs, and high-quality fats, the Sonoma Diet conforms to current ideas on nutritionally sound weight loss. In The Sonoma Diet Cookbook this translates into a plethora of chicken, fish and even beef dishes, along with all kinds of vegetables and fruits, olive oil, and even some cheese and butter for extra flavor. I have tried the Turkey Mango Melts on page 57. It is a wonderful flavor combination, but when I make it again I will use a hearty rustic loaf to stand up better to the broiler process. I also tried the Broccoli with Goat Cheese and Walnuts. This dish is an easy way to make veggies into an attractive side dish. I recommend this book for those looking for good healthy recipes even if they are not on a diet.
