YOU CAN'T PUT THIS ONE DOWN

While I am enjoying all of the Trueblood Texas series, this one written by Dani Sinclair is great! Extremely well written. Never a lull in this terrific story. The background story regarding Dylan Garrett and Julie carried from book to book is interwoven with the story of Noah, Sky and Lauren in an exceptional manner. Skylar Diamond hires Finders Keepers to find the daughter she gave up for adoption 20 years ago. Plagued with all the doubts and questions of any birth mother of 20 years ago, Sky sets out from New York to Darwin Crossing, Texas to meet her daughter. Is her daughter happy, healthy? Did she make the right decision all those years ago? A hired killer is stalking Sky. Not his intended victim originally, a series of events makes her the added bonus in this demented character's agenda. Unaware that she is being stalked, Sky puts everyone she comes in contact with at risk; including her new found daughter, Lauren and Lauren's adoptive father, Noah. The danger evidenced with the hired killer is gripping. The relationship that developes between Sky and Noah is frought with fire works verbally, physically and emotionally. The relationship between Sky and Lauren is emotional and lovely. I was unable to put this book down. (When you stir spaghetti with a book glued to the end of your nose, the family wonders if they'll ever eat or if it will be edible.) No dull moments the story moves along at a brisk pace. Dialog is witty and honest. This is the first Dani Sinclair book I've read and I'll order more.
