The New Birth is the foundation of the Christian life. It is the experience of the believer after a direct encounter with Jesus Christ and acceptance of his Deity. This acceptance acclaims that Jesus Christ is truly the son of the Most High God. This newness follows several successive stages of development and fulfilment. We move away from our past history to become the body of Christ. When our beliefs are consistent with the basic statements of Christian faith and we remain loyal to Christ from time of our rebirth, we become espoused to Him as His "bride" and await the "marriage supper of the lamb". The bride gives worship to Christ alone and is essentially dependent on the Holy Spirit for direction. Communion with God is possible only through the right approach to worship and prayers. New Birth is the experience of a believer after personally acknowledging and confessing that Jesus Christ is the son of God. This is followed by accepting that His crucifixion and death on the Cross was a final sacrifice for the salvation of man. This acknowledgement follows actual personal confrontation with Christ. This acceptance leads to the belief that the death of Christ on the Cross represents our death; and that because He died, we died with Him; and as He rose up on the third day, we also resurrected with Him. The resurrection of the individual with Christ is what is known as regeneration, a New Birth. The death mentioned here is not a physical death. It is the death of the flesh inherited from Adam, otherwise known as the "old man". The only provision for deliverance from the slavery of sin is through the execution of the "old man" and the willing offer of self for service to God and God's people. Paul referred to this execution as the "circumcision" in Christ. As we receive the word of God by faith through the Holy Spirit, life comes out of it. This is the New Life that comes from God. New Birth is totally different from primary response to an altar call, though it may start from there. New Birth is the foundation of the Christian life. This is often described as the "seashore experience". It is the first experience before stepping into the 'sea' of relationship with Christ.Communication with God costs nothing. The only requirements are patience, faith, persistence, understanding and honesty of purpose.
