Action and suspense were some of the best parts of this book

I love dog books so as soon as i saw the cover and title I had to read the book. I loved the way Logan always had something on his mind that he hated and how the author always incorporated something funny in the book. What really got me hooked though was the begining where Jack, Logan's dog can sense that something is wrong with the pack because they have not eaten or really moved for days. then when Jacks mom gets up because she realizes that her two pups need food Jack can tell that something is wrong. When her mom looks Jack straight in the eye her mom's eyes looked glazed over and tired. Then out of no where her mom bears her teeth at Jack and her brother and starts to chase and try to kill them. Jack gets cornered by her mom but as soon as her mom lunges for her she collapses and dies. I would recomend this book to anyone who is an animla freak like me and who loves a great adventure story when they see one.

The Last Dog On Earth

It was the beginning of summer, and the Moores were going to the Wallaces for a barbeque. There was only one thing wrong, Logan Moore hated the Wallaces and their son Devon. While they were Logan decided to try out a new invention. The "Logan Moore Master Remote Control", a.k.a., the "LMMRC". It was an invention designed to make electronics mess up and do what he wanted to do. It also works on anything electronic, and he was going to use it on the Wallaces radio. The invention worked, but the high pitched squeal affected the Wallaces dog. It ran around barking and growling like rabbid dog. It ran smack into Devon knocking him into the pool. The dog went after the radio sending it tumbling to the ground and smashing it to pieces. When they found out who made the dog go crazy Logan's dad, Robert, was furious with him. Then Devon's dad suggested he get Logan a dog. So he decided to. He gave Logan $200 to buy a dog he picked out for him.

Realistically written story

We read this book for my son's school book club (he is in 4th grade). I really, really enjoyed this book on an adult level. I was an english major and sometimes read books a bit differently than others because of it. This book was interesting for me because the characters were so well thought out by the author. Many of the children (and some of the adults) missed this fact but if you thought about it, all the characters reacted to their situations in very real ways. The children in the club wanted to reduce everyone to "good" or "bad" people and the fact that none really were one or the other opened up some nice conversations about human nature and is there really such thing as a purly "good" person or a purely "bad" person. The book is a bit brutal in its description about how the dogs are treated, die and are killed. It is not anything that a child who was comfortable with the scarier parts of the later Harry Potter books could not handle. But, be warned, this book is a tear jerker. The author shows how humans react when they are faced with the tragic unknown, in all of their good and bad ways.

A great novel

This is one of the better books I've read in my life. This story fits in with action and adventure. The main chrector is a 14 year old boy who seems to hate evrything. Except jack. Jack's a 1 year old mutt from the wild. But a prion deseise is spreading and turning thwem into vicous creatures, and then kill thems. Another one of the main chrectors is Dr.Westerly, a loner who lives with his dog Jasmine is the mountains. Not only is this book an action bringer, you'll learn a thing or two from it. Mostly about prion deseises but it's still something. You'll also find yourself laughing many-a-time during the book. This book is also fine because it seems that it never becomes old to you. I've read it 4 times now and it still feels like a new book to me. Some people might cry at points but there aren't many sad parts. I recomend this novel to you.

An ExcitingThriller

A very exciting novel this book keeps you awake. It's actually scientifically informative. I could not put it down,I actually got in trouble for staying up past my bedtime(9:00)and reading until 11:00. It shows the story from different three points of view. From the points of view of Dr.Westerly,(the main scientist) Jack (the last dog aforementioned in the title),and from the point of view of Logan Moore(Jack's owner and Dr.Westerley's son) this book will highly interest you especially if you like animal stories and adventure. The Last Dog On Earth will make you laugh and make some people cry. This book is suspenseful, funny, sad, and very exciting. I give this book five stars and highly reccomend it to everyone.
