The Final Adventures of Jimmy Newhouse

By Frank Berlingeri

Jimmy Newhouses lineage traces back to Oddball, Obie and now, Max. The Voice that spoke to his great grandfather and his grandfather speaks loud and clear to Max Mammoliti, aka, Newhouse.
Max's father, Jimmy, was told by his father that he allowed the Jersey gangsters to use the cellar of his butcher shop to house mafiosi meeting and when they needed to "go to the mattress.'" Unfortunately for Jimmy and his father, a lower ranked gangster witnessed them perform the ceremony of omert in their backyard, and reported it to North Jersey's capo, Don Salvatore.
It was Jimmy who notified the police that his father had been missing. When they broke into the butcher shop, they found Jimmy's father decapitated, his body on one hook, his head on another with his tongue cut off, a sign of silence above all else.
Jimmy, with false documents, made his way to Venice, Italy. His new name? Giacomo Mammoliti.
Enter a world of both American and Italian gangsters, a love story and a honest to goodness miracle in the Venice canals as Giacomo goes to any lengths to reclaim his real name - Jimmy Newhouse.
