The Demon You Know

Listed as third in the series though I recommend reading BIG BAD WOLF before this one so you know who Luna Missy is and her romance back story with Alpha were wolf Graham. Not to mention reading ONE BITE FROM A STRANGER where Missy first learn about The Others when her friend Reggie lover turned out to be a vampire. In this story The Others have been public for a while now and like the mutant hate groups in the X-men cartoons the Others hate groups are currently going strong enough that Luna Missy requires a bodyguard while with pup. Unfortunately for Abby when one demon's host is attacked he decide to possess Abby causing her to learn more about The Others than she had ever wanted to know. Including falling for a demon name Rule and getting a vision of what the future would be like if the evil demon called a Fiend isn't stop. A future that description remind me of what Raven's dad Trigon tried to do to Eartn in 1980s Titans comics. Rule has to figure a way to protect Abby from not only the fiend but the spell the fiend wants that if use could kill her.

another great book by Warren

This is another in Warren's "Others" series. And her writing just keeps getting better. She creates a wonderful world of fictional inhabitants that interact with humans. Each book introduces more of her other worldly people. A great read. Be sure to get the others and read in order of publication to get the full benefit of these books.

Awesome book

I am an avid reader and have enjoyed this series. This book was a wonderful addition to the "others".

delightful tongue in cheek romantic fantasy

TV researcher Abby Baker preferred to remain in the background as the girl most likely forgotten. Her success as the wallflower centerfold was perfect until her friend Terry Freeman persuaded her to accompany him as he worked a story in Manhattan. His wheedling has made her the center of a paranormal war that deserves time on the Sci Fi or Fearnet channels. As she barely understands this; apparently Uzkiel the evil seeks a spell to destroy the mortal realm. Arulnagel "Rule" the demon Watcher is out to stop him. The adversaries seek Louamides the fiend who possesses the spell. Almost caught by Uzkiel, Lou "leaped" into Abby's body to hide from the deadly demon. No one cannot get him released from her. As the paranormal Others have been outed following their battle in Times Square, Rule needs to free Lou so that Abby can be safe from Uzkiel while wondering if he can keep his day job and this human woman he now loves. THE DEMON YOU KNOW is a delightful tongue in cheek romantic fantasy that hooks the audience from the moment the king of three-card Monte Terry gets Abby involved and never slows down until the final confrontation between the Watcher, the crazed supernatural killer, and the human with the demon inside her. Romance has not been this chaperoned since Innerspace as the courageous Abby proves quite a formidable human who falls in love with the demon she knows. Harriet Klausner

Excellent

This has got to be one of the best books I've read in a long time. Warren knows how to write them, so I didn't hesitate to get my hands on Rule's story. You may need to read the prequals to this book if you want to know who everyone is that the other characters refer to, but the plot and storyline is of itself and an excellent one.
