howling good fun

This book is the one that started me reading Christine Warren. Want a good fun exciting book with romance, treachery, demons, and whatever else thrown in. Well this one is it. Well written I throughly enjoyed it. Read it.

I love Noah!

The world is adjusting to the unveiling of the Others, the supernatural denizens once believed imaginary. Soldier Noah Bishop has been welcomed into their world, as his sister, Abby, is engaged to the demon Rule. Unfortunately, he now finds himself torn between his loyalty to country and his new friends and sister as he is ordered to infiltrate and secretly obtain information from the Lupines. Meanwhile, his attraction to sexy werewolf Samantha "Sam" Carstairs has his thoughts in total disarray. Will the attraction between them survive Noah's betrayal? And who else is after the secrets of the Lupine community? Noah was without a doubt my favorite character in the last book, THE DEMON YOU KNOW, and I could hardly wait to dive into his story. Christine Warren didn't disappoint! Noah's story is as hard driving as one would expect from this soldier, loyal to the core. Seeing him torn between two loyalties is heart wrenching but only makes the happily-ever-after that much more enjoyable. HOWL AT THE MOON can be read as a stand alone, as all of the stories in this series are written to stand alone. However, Noah is first introduced in the prior book and his loyalty to his sister demonstrated in that book helps soften the dilemma he finds himself in with this story. The insight into his character in THE DEMON RULE helps the reader fully appreciate just how troubling it is to him to have to essentially live a lie, as Noah is a man who values honesty. HOWL AT THE MOON is my favorite to date of the Others series, mainly because of Noah. Christine Warren excels at writing memorable characters the reader can truly care about and Noah is without a doubt a shining example of this. Excellent! COURTESY OF CK2S KWIPS AND KRITIQUES

Paranormal Shifter

Christine Warren writes a good story. I've read everything she has in paperback and can't wait for more. Keep hoping the other stories in ebook form make it to paperback!

Great Add to the Series

Great read. I love this series and this book added to the greatness. There is some need to read the previous books to be familiar with who everyone is and the stories behind them, but essentially you can read this book without any background and know whats going on. Some steamy parts and action for all to enjoy.

4.5 Stars - Get your fantasy fix here, Another sizzling paranoramal romance from Christine Warren!

Noah's latest mission has put him between the proverbial rock and a hard place. Noah's special ops `spook squad' background along with his sister's marriage to a demon has given Noah an `in' into the world of the Others - supernatural races such as fae, demons, shapeshifters and vampires. This time instead of blowing things up, it's his job to lie to and spy on the Silverback pack Noah has come to like and respect. Noah hates being the wolf in sheep's clothing. Truth is important to Noah and he's been feeling like a heel. The only upside is his cover has given Noah the opportunity to share an office with sexy shifter Samantha. Ever since Noah got up close and personal with Samantha when trying to rescue his sister, he can't think of anything but wanting to be that close to her again - preferably sans clothing. Sam feels the same draw, Noah drives her crazy and she can't think straight when he's around. The sight of all that gorgeous man in uniform and not to mention his masculine spicy scent has gotten Sam panting. Sam instinctively knows that Noah is more than alpha enough to handle whatever her wolf can dish out. But even as Noah and Sam connect on the most primal level and discover a soul-deep connection that is so much more than lust, Noah knows that having to lie to Sam is going to come back and bite him. He just doesn't realize that Sam will think he's been playing her as part of his mission and that he just may loose that one woman that holds his heart and soul. This is one of my favorite series. Warren manages to deliver a great steamy romance, combined with misadventures, larger plots and politics as humans rail at the loss of their position at the top of the food chain now that the Others are out of the closet. Warren's world is not unique, but that doesn't make it any less enjoyable. One of the the fun elements of the series, Warren has created a group of great supporting characters that carry through all the books. Samantha and Noah were side characters from previous books, and here they finally get their chance to sizzle. If you haven't read the rest of Warren's mainstream Other's books, lucky you - you're in for a treat. Otherwise, you'll just have to wait for June with the rest of us for you next fantasy fix. The rest of the Others series including a connected short in No Rest for the Witches: Wolf at the Door (The Others, Book 1) She's No Faerie Princess (The Others, Book 2) The Demon You Know (The Others, Book 3) Howl at the Moon (The Others, Book 4) coming in june: Walk on the Wild Side (The Others)
