Told in both Basque and English, The Dancing Flea is the delightful tale of a little flea who dreams of becoming a famous dancer.
Errusika the flea is inspired to dance by the first music she hears. Zizt-Zizt the Mosquito, a mishievous and well-travelled insect, tells her of Russia, where every flea is a dancer. Though Errusika's best friend Karuso, the baritone dog, pleads with her to stay, the daring young flea leaves home to pursue her dancing career.
Ever-resourceful, Errusika jumps on a passenger train headed east. Her fantastic journey takes her to a child's sailboat, a woman's wig, the foam of a beer, and a sailor's armpit (where she chats with a mermaid tattoo). Along the way to the Russian Circus, the clever flea learms a valuable lesson about perseverance and dedication to one's chosen destiny.
