I love this book. It shows that honest love does not put up barriers no matter what the problem.

At first glance this didn't strike me as a book that would have lots of humor - the heroine, Mandy is mute. After suffering a terrible trauma as a child, she lost the ability to speak, and communicates through sign language and writing notes. But to my surprise there were a lot of funny moments in this story, and plenty of zany characters (from dogs to aunts) who do unexpected and sometimes naughty things! I thought it was fun and give it four stars. Description from the book back cover: Amanda Small's twenty-first birthday was memorable - because she met Brian Stone. The huskily handsome adventure story writer was drawn to the idea of a secretary who wouldn't answer him back, and hired her to work for him. It also seemed he was greatly attracted to having a biddable wife, for he asked Mandy to marry him as well.
