S.O.R Losers

I bought this for my 11 year old because it was one of 5 books on his required reading list for summer vacation. He actually read it and told me what a great book it was. He recommended it to one of his friends and told him that it was a great book.

S.O.R. LOSER REVIEW

This book S.O.R. Losers by Avi was about a school that is really big on sports and famous for not losing a single game all season. That all changes when some seventh grader non-jocks form a soccer team. Their new team is terrible. Their parents and the school cheer them on and insist that they do better. The crowd's cheers really helped them do a lot better than they were doing. I would recommend this book because it shows how much people have confidence within themselves. Why I would also recommend this book is because it was written by Avi, he is a great guy and writes great books.

I think you should read this book. This book is very humorous. The author does an exellent job with advetives. I reccomend this book and anything else by Betsy Byars!

When the "royal" blue jerseys of the "Buckingham" team appear on the well-groomed soccer field, the reader has a good idea as to what will happen to the S.O.R. 7th grade misfits dressed in red and yellow clown colors! But, will this rag-tag team ever win a game?

S.O.R. Losers is a humorous book about a group of intelligent and talented, but non-athletic, seventh grade boys who are required to participate on a soccer team at their sports-minded school. The boys on the losing team are viewed by parents and school administration as rebellious and are frowned upon because of their "bad" attitudes. What's wrong with accepting the fact that you stink at sports anyway? Avi portrays realistic characters and a humorous style of writing in this book, making it a good read for all ages! (And for those curious Avi fans, you'll find his last name spelled backwards in this book!)
