Hittite Empire vs. Egypt

Kail's friend and guard, Rusafa, has been secretly in love with Yuri since he saw her fight in Volume three against Nakia's henchman. He, like all her other admirers, is very attracted to her beauty, talents in fighting, and her lack of lust for power. Rusafa is possessed by the black water and kidnaps Yuri with the help of Urhi. Rusafa somehow fights his inner desires and he and Yuri are found by Kail's men. Meanwhile, Kail tells Nakia that if Yuri does not appear before him, he will kill her. Yuri somehow appears in the pool of water that separates the citizens from Kail and members of the royal court. At the end of volume 16, Yuri is given the challenge, by Queen Nakia, to lead the Hittite troops to war with Egypt if she wishes to marry Kail. Will Yuri accept Nakia's test? Volumes 16 and 17 set up the entrance into battle with Egypt, and more importantly the battle with Kail and Ramses.

The story keeps getting better

In Vol. 16, Yuri is held captive by Rusafa and the surfaced Urhi who begins to reveal a secret about himself and Nakia. Meanwhile, Kail continues to look for Yuri. He seeks out Nakia to demand her help in the search. Nakia is threatened with death if Yuri is not returned. Urhi acts quickly and sends word of Yuri's location to Kail's aides and then leaves Yuri with Rusafa, who is under the control of Nakia's black water. Will Rusafa's love for Yuri be too much to control? Will Kail truly follow through with his threat? Will the dream of the Hittite empire of having Yuri as their queen come true?
