Book Overview

Ralestone Luck is a captivating blend of mystery and adventure that follows the story of the Ralestone siblings-Rupert, Ricky, and Val-as they return to their ancestral home, Pirate's Haven, a once-grand Louisiana plantation. The Ralestones are determined to restore their family's fortune, which they believe is tied to a legendary heirloom known as the Ralestone Luck, a jeweled sword said to bring prosperity to its owner.

As the siblings settle into the mansion, they find themselves entangled in a web of secrets and intrigue. Strange occurrences and mysterious visitors hint at hidden treasures and dangers lurking within the old estate. With the help of an eccentric artist, a loyal servant, and a local historian, the Ralestones embark on a quest to unravel the mysteries of their past and uncover the true nature of their family's luck.

Andre Norton weaves a richly atmospheric tale filled with Southern charm, suspense, and a touch of the supernatural. Ralestone Luck is a delightful story of family, courage, and the enduring power of belief, perfect for readers who enjoy a mix of history and mystery.

First I should say this is not a science fiction or fantasy

Ralestone's Luck By Andre Norton (c 1938 r 1966) The Ralestone luck is a sword known as the luck of Lorne., a great blade forged during the Crusades by an Arab astrologer. It's been gone for over a century. Now the Ralestones must find it or lose every thing they have. First I should say this it is not a science fiction or fantasy that Ms. Norton is so famous for. It is her second book, an adventure story following the The Prince Commands Prince Commands, also not a science fiction or fantasy, just a good adventure story. I recommend this book for Andre Norton completest and fans of adventure stories that do not have any graphic sex, just great fun. Gunner, July, 2009

I adore this book

I have read this book so many times sense I first got it in the early 80's . She was the first sci fi writer I ever read . No Night Without Stars was the book . This one is fiction with pirate lore and the Old South . Two brothers and their sister search for a lost sword they hope will return their luck . It's a fun adventure .
