Characters all go back on their development

TW/CW: Burns/ house fires, car accident resulting in death, suicide Another miss by Colleen. I loved the premise at the beginning. I was all ready for a cute romance and I was very much let down. Every character threw all their values out the window once a sliver of conflict arose. The man man, Ben, became unbearable to me about halfway through the book and his actions are not nice!!!!!!!! There should absolutely be some trigger warnings in this book because heavy topics are just sprung up out of the blue. The plot twist made the characters even worse which I didn't think possible but to finish this was a hate read just to see what might happen.

This is based on a 1978 movie Same Time Next Year

Alan Alda and Ellen Burstyn in the movie Same Time Next Year seems to me this book would be considered plagiarism....

I could not put this book down. It captivated my attention from the start. Absolute page turner. An entertaining, unusual love story with a completely unexpected end.

Good Plot Twist, Horrible Romance

I had heard of this book from TikTok, and that should have been the first semi red flag. I had no clue what this book was about and was excited about the premise from the get go. Without spoilers, all I can tell you is that the plot twist is fairly obvious if you pay a moderate amount of attention but how the book ends is what truly gets me. I was upset, I don't agree with the choices that the author made, I think that no one in their right minds would do what the characters did in the end. It felt cheap and gross and I kept saying, out loud, "who would do this?". It made me so mad that I made an account to leave a review once I saw it under "Romance". It should be a "Horror".

I couldn’t put this book down!

I have not read a book this fast in my life- took me about a day and a half to get through it. It’s sooooo good. The writing style is great, the story is amazing, and the PLOT TWIST!!! You better have your seat buckled by the end half. Highly recommend, especially for people who want to fall back in love with reading!!! :)

hands down the best book i have ever read

the plot twist is so unexpected & the chemistry between ben and fallon is amazing and when i say i could not put this book down i legit read it in 1 day, 1 sitting. and yeah i didn’t want it to end but the ending was satisfying (not to give out too many hints) but the writing & just the concept is amazing

This is the second biggest plot twist i’ve ever read in a book. and the first one is from colleen hoover’s other book verity! She’s such and amazing author. This book so amazing. It follows ben and fallon as their relationship progresses. They agree to meet one day once a year on November 9th for 5 years until she figures herself out. But there are problems on the way that they may need to figure out. but also very heart warming stuff;) but The plot twist was literally so unexpected like ??????what did I just read. It’s so good. You most likely will shed some tears i know I did. And if you’re the type of person that wants to know if the ending is a happy ending or not then i’ll answer it for you. but if you don’t want to know STOP reading. - - I was doubting wether it would be a good ending or not and it actually was! one of the final words of the book are actually “spoiler alert, they lived happily ever after”
