Book Overview

Lee says the "Source of Truth" is as close to us as our wondering--as close as our own thoughts. Within these pages, he provides criteria for the recognition of our own holiness, helping us to bypass the "static" and the babble that buzz through our busy minds.

Change your life

In the early 90s I had the great good fortune to attend a seminar given by Lee and sponsored by Interfaith Fellowship in NYC. Interfaith Fellowship is sadly defunct but Lee Coit is still around. I have a great deal of respect for Lee. In 3 thin books he said all that he had to say and then stopped publishing. There are so many authors that churn out book after book that don't really say anything new. At the time of the seminar, I didn't really understand what Lee was talking about. Over the years, I've gotten better at Listening and recently I went through a sudden shift where I seem to be able to Listen most of the time. My life is changing radically for the better and it's full of fun 'coincidences' (there is no such thing as a coincidence). Read this book and apply it and you, too, may be able to radically change your life for the better.

Good Book

It was a good read to just confirm that we need to listen to what is being spoken from within and not live so much from the outside.Very good Book it has been passed on to others

Five stars are not enough for this book!

If you study Lee Coit's books, "Listening, Acceptance, and Being" with all your heart, they will guide you through every event that comes into your life whether it's tragic or just a matter of locating your lost car keys. I live by these books and "A Course in Miracles" and I, and my loved ones are always taken care of just fine.

Actually Relying on Your Inner Guidance System

This book, and sequels "Accepting" and "Being", as well as corresponding audio tapes by Lee Coit have been the main keys to unlocking the secrets of using my own Inner Guidance system. I have been on a path of self-discovery for over thirty years and have developed a true connection with my inner wisdom to a point of total trust and confidence in the guidance I am given. What Coit does is explain how to do this in a simple and easily useable manner. Applying his material I went from using my inner guidance as a curiosity, to knowing that I could totally rely on it. Sometimes this is in feelings that something I am just starting to do doesn't feel right, or it feels oh so good. Sometimes the answers come as I ask questions in journaling and the answers flow as I write. And other times I'll ask a question in my head and I know what I am hearing is my inner guide talking to me. And absolutely every time the feelings I get are absolutely right on. If I decide to not heed the advice, every time I wish that I had listened. And that is exactly the first key- being open to LISTENING.Lee Coit decided to take a year to prove to himself that either the universe was running by chaos and total random chance or that indeed there was a pattern, a wise intelligence, God, Spirit, Universal Knowledge, what ever your own personal word for it is, that we could tapinto for guidance. If he was leaning one way or another, it was that the Universe was run by chaos; but being an analytical thinker he wanted his own proof. His explorations during that year resulted in this book "Listening" and his conclusion that beyond a doubt that there isa "Source of Truth" and that it is easily accessible by all of us. This is also my own personal experience.

A guide to helping you find your inner self through silence

It is an excellent book that takes you through finding your inner guide and leading you to your true self. It gives wonderful suggestions on how to increase your awareness of self if you are truely ready to listen.
