Revelational and compelling

Judson Cornwall's Let Us Draw Near is eye-opening for the Christian who has not explored the Tabernacle of Moses and it's types and symbols. It is a Biblically based novel detailing the lives and thoughts of Moses and his contemporaries as they followed God's instructions to build the Tabernacle. Cornwall imagines how they might have interpreted the events as they happened, even proposing that God revealed to them a New Testament understanding of some of the prophetic objects and acts He was instructing them to make and do. The reader is quickly drawn into the human side of the story, and begins to appreciate some of the mundane and questioning that must have gone along with all the "pillar of fire" glory stuff that we associate with the stories about Moses. After reading this book, you will have a different perspective on many things that you learned in Sunday School. And the understanding to recognize God's hand drawing the same thread through the whole of scripture in one glorious covenant.
