I read this short, easy to read book shortly after my 2 yr old daughter died in 1986. I've been trying to locate it ever since. Not only was it comforting - with humor - it also helped me to understand why people make such ignorant comments when they are trying to comfort you in your loss. It helped ease my pain with her grief and the pain from well meaning yet ignorant comments. It also gives you guidelines on what is appropriate to say so you don't offend or minimize a person's grief. Cute and appropriate cartoon drawings to lighten the mood as well. Erin Linn has done a fabulous job for a much needed service!
Important for those grieving and those wishing to support

This book is written in a manner easy to read for those having difficulties in concentrating. I originally purchased this book to give to someone who was cliche-ridden, but decided not to waste it on him/her. Kept it. Wonderful advice. Clear, honest, and hopeful.
