John Vincent has always led a life of danger, and now he has every reason to want to remain as dead as the obituary in the Australian papers had proclaimed him to be. He'd left nothing behind in the life he had once led--except for one woman, and one night of unforgettable passion. Now, both will return to haunt him... Bailey Serborne is still tormented by a past she can't change and a man she hasn't been able to forget. A man who was supposed to...

OH. My. Stars. I loved this book and have added it to my list of favorites. Every time I think the story may be getting a little long Lora Leigh throws some major bait out to reel me in. I loved the story line and the spicy scenes.

Heat Seeker

Bailey Serborne should have had the life that everyone dreams of, but she turned her back on the lifestyle of the rich and famous and went to work for her country. Then one man took everything she held dear from her and after that, even her lover was killed too soon. Bailey has worked hard to be in a position to bring down the man who took it all away from her. Even if it does mean having to go back into the life she left. Now another man is trying to work his way into her plans and life. Bailey isn't sure she even likes him, but she knows he sure is one sexy and interesting man. Why does he seem so familiar at times? John Vincent, like the others in his group, is a reborn man with a mission. Right now that mission is putting him on the path that will lead John to the one woman he wants and cannot have. His life is dangerous and not his own to control no matter what his emotions say. John needs to stay dead to everyone but a very select few and unfortunately Bailey is not one of those few. Bailey agrees to work with John and his unit, so long as they are partners. That is a hard thing with both wanting to protect the other. Working their way through a maze of old friends who hid a killer was dangerous enough and the level rises when Bailey and John give in to their passion. The heat between them became a bonfire as questions were answered and a lack of future was accepted - or was it? Bailey thinks she knows just which family friend she and John are after, but when the final curtain is raised will they capture a killer and most importantly will Bailey and John lose the partnership that has become so real now. Can you really ever have a second chance? Heat Seeker brings yet another member of the Elite Ops to the forefront of passion and danger. John knows what his contract says and what he agreed to but sometimes you have to go with the heart. Bailey just wants to finally take down the man who destroyed everyone she loved, no matter the risks. I found that the tightrope John and Bailey were walking only got longer and harder while they tried to ignore a shared night of erotic passion long ago. To me, John and Bailey were partners in every sense of the word. While I knew that Ms. Leigh would never allow them to totally separate, I was pleasantly surprised on just how John and Bailey gained their happy ending. I laughed and shivered and still had to keep turning the pages to see what would happen next. I wish we could have seen just a bit later when Bailey meets and talks with the other team members and their wives. That is a meeting I want to witness. Heat Seeker is erotic, dangerous, explosive and ultimately passionate - what else can anyone ask for? Jo Reviewed for Joyfully Reviewed

Great book in elite ops series!

This is a great book to be added to the elite ops series. My only complaint is not having the rest of the team and the seal team play a much bigger part, like they normally do. I've read the entire series by Mrs. Leigh, from Reno Chavez to now John Vincent and this was a great addition. The sex was hotter than hot, the suspense was great and the ending was happy and funny. The part with Bailey and Malone was cute. I do wish we knew who Jules was, I don't think Mary was the character Mrs. Leigh was talking about. Because she was referred to as a girl and Mary was a 50 year old woman. I think Jules was edited out some where else in the story. And about the editing I do believe a better job could have been done. It was sloppy in places and I do expect more from this publisher. But, except for near the end I was able to figure out what the writer meant. Don't let the bad reviews stop you from reading this book; it you like the series this is really a hot addition. And I can't wait for "Black Jack" to come out. I love these elite ops and Seal guys and will be sorry when everybody's story has been told.

A very sweet love story

I have enjoy every one of the Elite Ops series. I can't wait for the next one.

Awesome! Five Blue Ribbons from Romance Junkies!

Five years ago two agents in Australia fell in love. Tragedy interrupted and Bailey Serborne's world came to a crashing halt with the death of her partner in an apparent murder. Now, years later, Bailey is seeing things she shouldn't - like her dead lover alive and well and selling illegal arms to the highest bidder. Trent Daylen was a laughing and irreverent Australian who smiled too much and laughed too often. Nothing was considered taboo in Trent's world until he fell in love with Bailey, his partner. Allowed only one night together before he was injured in an explosion meant to kill him, Trent is a dead man. Or so his government and Bailey think. While agent Trent perished in a horrific car blast, Elite Ops undercover agent John Vincent was born. John Vincent has been unable to forget Bailey. He has secretly followed her for years and when his cover as an arms dealer brings him into her presence; John knows that he will stop at nothing to possess her once again - no matter the consequences. Bailey Serborne has had enough. She has finally given her notice to her supervisor and has gone home to Colorado. Bailey is burnt out from chasing Orion, a criminal responsible for various kidnappings and other horrible crimes. Her `vacation' of sorts ends when she is told she is to pose as John Vincent's love interest by the very agency that had her kidnapped and interrogated in Atlanta months earlier. Bailey wants nothing to do with John Vincent, his supervisor, or this case. And then John Vincent does the unthinkable - he kisses her. Bailey and John's chemistry is hot enough to melt butter. While Bailey fought her attraction to an apparent criminal, John didn't have to fight a thing. He fell in love with Bailey years ago and has loved no one since. His every thought featured Bailey in it. He wanted her safe and he wanted her forever. Convincing her was just the beginning of their highly tempestuous and exhilarating relationship. HEAT SEEKER will blow you away so be prepared to be knocked off your feet! The storyline is fast-moving and chock full of bad guys. So intricate and well written, I found myself unable to figure out the antagonist until he was revealed. Combustible love scenes combined with a highly volatile yet suspenseful story makes HEAT SEEKER the thrilling novel that I come to expect from Lora Leigh. Don't miss it! Natalie S.
