Vintage Milt Gross, in a Nice Edition

Reading this is like dreaming. The eye flits from sublimely vulgar image to merely sublime image, making the narrative zip along, stopping once in awhile for a antediluvial gag. He's like Fellini, but on a page instead of a screen. And with NO WORDS. Gross was sui generis-- this is among his best work.
