After the death of her young ward, Faith Jansen had closed the door on life and love. But then Jesse Savage came into her life, and gradually her heart opened to him. This description may be from another edition of this product.
So, as the previous reviewers said, this book is about Jesse, and angel sent to bring Faith back on tract. Jesse was murdered, stabbed to death, along with his brother and sister. Faith recently lost one of her "daughters" since she becomes the foster mom for anyone who enters Faith's House, a place of refuge for children who are going into the wrong path or are orphaned. The girl's name is Jane, and she was runned over by a car infront of her eyes, and ever since then, she has not been to Faith's house, the memories hurting her too much. So, Jesse being an angel, he goes there, snags a job, and makes it his goal or road to salvation to lead Faith back into her work, her love and passion to help kids, since she herself was a kid like them. Then, the lust, love, and passion sets in for both of them. They are both falling hard for each other, but Jesse knows that it is all temporary. They get closer still when a young boy, Daniel, enters the house and Faith is forced to see that her life really is at the house, Jesse opening her eyes for her, of course. Reading the painful scenes that Jesse relives when he remembers his last human breath of air and going back to their old apartment, where they were all killed brought tears to my eyes. I felt so emotional and attached to this book that I read it, literally, in less than a day (I started it this afternoon and finished it a few hours ago). Even feeling Faith's pain in remembering when the doctors told her that there was nothing they could have done to save Jane broke my heart. WOW, Kimberly Raye knew how to write such a powerful book. On top of that, the sizzling scenes were great, I especially like the motorcycle scene (*wink). Then, towards the end, we get two surprising, but nice twists that help explain things a little bit more. All in all, I loved this book, and the ending was very good and emotional as well.
Wonderful book - Glad I found it.

I've read just about everything from Kimberly Raye and I feel this is her best effort - it is a very emotional book. This is the story of Jesse Savage, a cop who after watching the brutal slayings of his younger brother and sister, was murdered himself. However, it wasn't his time to die. He was sent back in order to perform a miracle and in doing so on the 1 year anniversary of his death, he would be given eternal life. If not, he would have to live as mortal again until his real death. His miracle to perform turns out to helping Faith Jansen restore her hope. Faith is a foster mother who watched the death of a very special foster girl and is in deep depression. Jesse is tied to Faith by a mind telepathy-thing where he can read her thoughts - and she reads his also. They begin to have feelings for each other, but Jesse lets it be known that he is not looking for a permanent relationship. Their times together are extremely HOT. The foster kids are good secondary characters. I loved the ending and felt that it had a neat unexpected twist.
Great book! I loved it. Combines emotion and humor.

I loved Faithless Angel! Jesse Savage was a great tortured hero. I really felt for him and the romance with Faith was ultra-hot! One of Ms. Raye's best books yet. Can't wait for the next one.
