Reality Check

Zlotnik is one of the best descriptive writers to come out of the Vietnam War. He paints a word picture even the most inexperienced reader can visualize and the most experienced combat veteran will support. His attention to detail is superb and he always weaves in some kind of creature into his story that reappears in a dramatic manner.He's good.

A Vietnam veteran himself, Zlotnik explores the devestating after-effects of war by following the military career of an idealistic and exceptionally talented teen. Exceptionally realistic and detailed prose. This story contains enough twists and sardonic humour to entertain, while revealing the dark horrors of war. A fabulous read!
