The Pursuit of Wholeheartedness

We are all broken people looking for hope. This fundamental brokenness deeply impacts how we function as individuals and how we show up as leaders. Left unexamined, it quietly drives us toward shame, isolation, and protective hiding. If we do not actively attend to our brokenness, we inevitably pass that hurt onto our lives, our families, and the organizations we serve. In Dare to Lead, Brené Brown addresses this exact human struggle. She challenges leaders to lean into tough conversations and embrace true vulnerability. While a cynical world often misinterprets vulnerability as weakness, Brown proves it is actually our greatest measure of courage. Especially in the complex times we are living in, leaning into wholeheartedness is no longer optional—it is essential. If you want to take your leadership to a new level and cultivate an environment of genuine psychological safety, the pursuit of wholeheartedness is required. Reading Brown’s work provides the perfect roadmap to get started.

The experience was bad, and this is why I stay away from these sites

This is mostly about my shopping experience for this book. The website is clunky and outdated, as I cannot even obtain a correct description of my order. I ordered SPECIFICALLY a paperback version, in Like New condition. What arrived is a hard copy in acceptable condition, -- NOT what I ordered. After searching and clicking around the user-unfriendly buttonology for 10 minutes to even look at my order - the full details and history of purchase are still not displayed. It's as if on purpose to keep their customers in the dark and as uninformed as possible. Then they slap me with a nonsense policy on NO refunds for below $15 orders, no exceptions even if it was their fault. This was my first order and I won't be back again.

Life Changing

I have never learned so much about myself by only reading 300 pages. From this book I am learning how to be more empathetic, how to identify my emotions, and how to live into my core values. Brene Brown's writing style is fluid and gets straight to the point. This is a must read.
