Gina Petrillo, a crystal scientist, laughs when a fortune teller tells her "A dark stranger is you enemy". But when a pink crystal sends her through a web of light into another world she couldn't me more stunned. When Gina suddenly appears in front of Derrin he believes that she must be a dangerous sorceress. In this world women are forbidden to use magic. Derrin has to stop the wizard who would use Gina to tap into the power of the web even if that means holding Gina against her will. Derrin and Gina soon find themselves falling for each other but once Gina's true identity is revealed can they be together? Crystal Shadows was a wonderful book that created a world that was easy to image. I found myself absorbed in the world that Joy Nash created and was unable to tear myself away. The secondary love story of Danat and Ariek was a wonderful bonus and may even have been my favorite part of the book. I'll be looking forward to Joy Nash's future releases.
