I'll be brief. Ing must be convinced that this book deserves to be updated and put back in print. He deals with short and long-term survival, what to expect and plan for, and even gives helpful tips that can be put to use on anything from a camping trip to a worst-case scenario.Dean, if you're reading this, PLEASE! We need more books like this!

Excellent book on survival in the short, med and long term

This is an excellent book on survival in the short, medium and long terms. Has everything from homemade backpacking stoves to a make it yourself radiation counter to a philosophy of raising children my wife and I are trying. He's a pretty good hard science fiction author as well
