An emotional roller coaster ride

Dr, Kate Hartley is desperate. Flat broke and pregnant, she has no choice but to seek out her ex husband. But she accept his terms? Mack has been fooled by her once. He can't decide which is greater, his need for revenge or his desire to satisfy his grandfather's demands. Ms. Rees writes compelling characters that really get my emotions going. I think at one point in the story I hated everyone except Kate, but I still wanted to throttle her. Even though I had feelings of anger and frustration, the ending was well worth the read. It takes a lot of skill to arouse emotions in your reader, and Ms. Rees has that skill. In Spades.
