Excellent book for amateurs or professionals

This is an excellent introduction to the basics of hypnosis by one of the most respected names in the field. The author has an informal, first-person style that makes the book an easy read. The book is packed with valuable techniques, scripts, and insights that are based on his decades of experience in hypnosis and hypnotherapy. Hunter frequently references the philosophy and works of his mentor, Charles Tebbetts, and quotes extensively from his books. This book is an excellent reference and should be in the library of anyone interested in hypnosis.

Very useful guide for the practice of hypnotherapy

Refer to this text many times over my career! Certianly useful for any practicing professional.

Must Have Book for the Student of Hypnosis

As a hypnosis and hypnotherapy trainer, I recommend this book to all of my students. I have received nothing but rave reviews from them. I also recommend Mr. Hunter's book, The Art of Hypnotherapy. Both of these books are used as text books in hypnotherapy schools! For good reason! They come through with the information that a student needs to be well educated in the field.

a good basic book on hypnosis

Roy Hunter has done himself and his teacher, Charles Tebbets, proud with this book . It is a good book for beginners and professionals. It is a good companion book to Hunter's second and more advanced book, The Art of Hypnotherapy. Both have been helpful to me in my work at Pendleton Memorial Methodist Hospital, New Orleans, LA.
