January, 1925. The New York metropolis is covered in a sheen of ice and snow. Jane Traymore has been enjoying a growing romance with Luca Bellini since this previous year, but their private world is about to be disrupted. Jane recieves a call from Luca about his father, Vittorio and his brother, Enzo arriving to the city from Italy. Under normal circumstances, this would call for a family gathering. However, Jane knows Luca's family is highly judgemental of his life, and he feels they're only coming to New York to insult his American way of living. His suspicion proves correct when his father and brother show their true characters, and Jane realizes Luca needs her by his side for emotional support. To make matters worse, Vittorio is murdered at Luca's restaurant "A Taste of Italy" and Luca is quickly blamed for the crime. Jane must now solve the mystery of who killed Luca's father, while his brother creates tension among them. A situation that will test both Jane's personal feelings, and her unique detective skills.
