This book is relaxing just to read and look through. It contains a lot of glossy photos on every page, which is what I love about anything from DK Publishing. Also, the text is arranged in small, snippet-blurbs, so the book is so easy to scan when you only have 5 minutes to yourself and need a pick-up. This book has really helped me decide how to bring soothing elements into my life and release unpleasant things from my grasp. I first found this book at my library, and began making notes of all the great relaxation ideas. When I realized I was writing them ALL down, I decided to just order my own copy. I ordered a second copy for my grandmother, as well. My grandfather passed away last month, and my grandmother's been trying to bring some peaceful elements into her life to cope with the loss. She was very appreciative of the book, and read it cover to cover. It seems like you really couldn't go wrong, giving this book as a gift for any occasion. Everyone could stand to de-stress a little.
